Complementary Treatments 2008 - 9
In a last ditch attempt to try and cure my rapidly increasing cancer, I am having cancer treatment at The Oasis of Hope Hospital in Tijuanna, Mexico.(www.oasisofhope.com). This hospital offers innovative cancer treatments based on both orthodox and complementary approaches and has a good success rate even with advanced, so called incurable cancers. Doctors at this hospital successfully treated Don Factor, the son of make-up giant Max Factor, who had stage IV lung cancer which had spread to his liver and spine. They offer treatments such as low dose chemotherapy, ozone treatment with UVB light therapy, B17 infusions, high dose intravenous Vitamin C infusions (given with oxygen therapy to make it more effective), Vitamin K (to make Vit C more effective), Perftec (a typy of artificial blood which raises oxygen levels in the blood), and much more.
The cancer treatment involves two visits to the hospital, 3 months apart, as well as a daily Home Care Treatment Programme to be continued at home, all of which costs £20,000. I attended the hospital for 21 days in November 2008 for the first part of my cancer treatment, as I have described in ‘My Progress’, and have been carrying-on with the Home Care Treatment Programme since I returned home. I need to return to the hospital for a 5 night stay at the end of February 2009 for the second part of my treatment and to have a review of my Home Care Treatment Programme, which I will need to purchase so I can continue the treatment at home. The return trip and Home Care Treatment Programme will cost £8,000.
I am also currently taking a variety of vitamins and nutritional supplements. This is in order to increase natural mechanisms to eliminate cancer in my body and to boost my system which has been weakened by the presence of cancer, as well as by chemotherapy. At present, the average cost for these vitamins and supplements is around £200 per month.

In order to improve immune function and for general energy levels which at present are very low, I visit a student herbal clinic in Stockport for nutritional advice and herbal tonics. The consultation and herbal tonics cost between £40-£50 every month.
In February and March 2008, I started having high dose intravenous Vitamin C therapy, whole body hyperthermia and ozone therapy every three weeks at High Tree Medical Clinic in East Sussex in order to support my body whilst on intravenous chemotherapy.
For my emotional health and well being I have reiki, spiritual healing and guided meditation sessions with Jayne Whitely of Moon Tree Holistics & Beauty, Horwich. Jayne takes me on a guided meditation through all the chakras, visualising each chakra colour to cleanse and re-balance the body. These sessions are extremely relaxing, uplifting and healing and I have them every couple of weeks. Jayne very kindly donates these sessions for free as she is a very close friend of mine.
In addition Sharon from Spiritual Wisdom also gives me telephone support sessions which include guided visualizations and meditations. These sessions are also extremely relaxing, uplifting and healing. Sharon very kindly donates one free session per month to me and offers me further sessions at a reduced rate of £20 per month.

Explanation of Terminology:
Hyperthermia for cancers - Hyperthermia is raised body temperature and works to damage cancer cells which react more sensitively to the effects of excessive heat than normal cells. It also works to reduce the blood flow within a tumour which can contribute to a degree of self-destruction of the abnormal growth. Although not available on the NHS in the UK, it is employed as part of standard treatment for cancer in many countries (such as Germany, Austria).
High Dose Vitamin C Infusions -
